The first major solo exhibition of Lee Bul’s work in Russia.

Lee Bul’s long-standing fascination with utopia. Entered a new phase in the first decade of the 21st century. When she began to create sculptures and architectural designs inspired by Constructivism. Russian avant-garde art and architecture. The artist uses icons and tropes of utopian modernism. Transforming them, allegorizing them and juxtaposing them in his own creative works. She engages in utopian modernism with empathy and originality. With criticism and imagination.

Utopia Saved.

Utopia Saved is Lee Bul’s first solo exhibition to be held in Russia. She is presenting her post 2005 works for the first time alongside the Russian art that inspired them. The exhibition focuses on the artist’s environmental installations. His architectural sculptures and drawings made since 2005. From the model of My Big Story to the Civitas Solis series. and also, Willing To Be Vulnerable, among others. In addition to preparatory studies that reveal the complexity of his creative process. Some of the drawings and models included in this exhibition have never been shown before. These will be exhibited for the first time with works by Russian avant-garde artists. Artsits that have intrigued his imagination for years.
