In a major prelude to Art Basel, OG4ever presents its latest exhibit, “Sport = Art,” in the heart of Wynwood – opening on Saturday, November 16th. This groundbreaking showcase reveals the deep connection between athleticism and artistry, paying homage to sports as a testament to physical excellence and cultural expression. From dynamic bronze sculptures made from the actual molds of the hands and feet of soccer legend Pelé by 5th generation Italian sculptor, Dante Mortet, to paintings of iconic moments in sports by an array of international artists. OG4ever offers visitors an immersive experience that redefines the fusion between sport and art.
Moments in sports history.
The new exhibition will highlight artwork by many renowned artists including Dante Mortet, René Mäkelä, Lili Cantero, Cristian Troiani, Carling Jackson, and Murray Henderson. All of whom share a passion for creating pieces that redefine moments in sports history through their unique artistic lenses. Each piece in the collection invites viewers to explore the raw intensity, emotion, and cultural significance that sports evoke, blurring the boundaries between the athletic and the aesthetic.
“Sport = Art” universal themes.
This highly anticipated exhibition not only showcases the work of these remarkable artists but also opens a dialogue on the universal themes of perseverance, discipline, and creativity that transcend both sports and art. Through installations, sculptures, and paintings, “Sport = Art” provides a platform for guests to witness the energy, movement, and dedication that define athleticism and to see how these qualities are mirrored in artistic expression.
