A multi-faceted sculptor, he experiments with artistic forms in an intriguing interplay between truth and illusion. The poetics of the impossible and the philosophy of the artificial. The optical deception of mimesis. The search for grotesque connections converge in works characterized by metaphorical allusion and conceptual practice. From the interpretation of archetypal symbols and mythological tales, he shapes bizarre autonomies in sculptures made with multiple materials. Generating environmental installations characterized by the interaction between sculpture and gold thread.
Stratanatomy.
Since 2012, he has been working on Stratanthropy. A cycle of sculptures and installations inspired by mythological tales. Metamorphoses told by Ovid as in Aracne Futura. 2012, a sculptural installation exhibited at the Fondazione Museo Pino Pascali. Polignano. Bari and Pleiades. 2014, exhibited at Macro la Pelanda, Rome. Since 2015 he has been working on a series of works designed in close comparison with the Renaissance frescoes painted by Pietro Da Cemmo in Crema. Thus creating a series of works entitled Scaramanzia exhibited at the San Domenico de Crema Theater Foundation. His work has been exhibited in exhibitions and projects in Belgium, England, Spain, Germany, USA.
Humor.
An artist with versatile creativity, he uses an incredible number of materials, both precious and simple, to create sculptures. Installations and original works. Each imbued with a rich vein of humor. He transforms reality by playing with concepts and objects which, as the artist affirms, “Everything is transformed, everything is reused, everything is readjusted”. His works often show a strong connection with nature, bizarre in its micro and macro figurazione. At the same time, Boezio pays a clear homage to technology with its useless trinkets that man seems practically unable to do without.
